| Incidence of gastrtointestinal parasites of the domestic fowl |

205 fecal samples of domestic fowls were examined using the methods of Faust and Taleman. The samples were collected from 30 fowls 1-4 months old, 60 fowls 5-8 months old, 62 fowls 9-12 months old and 53 fowls 13-36 months old coming from the prefectures Pieria, Kozani, Attiki, Euboea and Achaia. In 175 (85%) out of the sample examined, they were found eggs or oocystis of the following parasites : Capillaria spp (58,0%), Ascaridia galli (45,3%), Eimeria spp (37,5%), Choanotaenia infudibulum (19,5%), Heterakis gallinarum (10,2%). The highest prevalence of infection (98,4%) was found in fowls 9-12 months old while the lower one (83,0%) in fowls 1-3 years old. Volume 47 (No. 2 p. 99-103) / 1996
