Demographic, educational and employment characteristics of veterinarians in Greece PDF Print E-mail

The professional state of veterinarians in Greece was examined by using empirical social research methods. Sample data on population characteristics, education, employment status and income of veterinarians were collected. Data collection was performed by using computer assisted telephon interviewing (CATI). The results of the study were analysed with descriptive statistical techniques and cross-tabulations. The results of the study give an insight on the profession's job availiability, employment and the needs for continuing educations.
