The IDF International Symposium on Sheep and Goats Milk will be organized by the IDF National Committee of Greece under the auspices of the International Dairy Federation in Athens, Greece, from 16 to 18 May 2011.

Objectives & Structure of the Εvent

         The overall objective of the Symposium is to provide a renewed vision of knowledge on production, technology, chemistry, physics, microbiology and nutritional aspects of sheep, goat, and other non-cows milks. Moreover, the significance of markets and appropriate policies as they have evolved since 2007 will be highlighted. The event is addressed to scientists and other professionals involved in the dairy sector, including milk producers, dairy processing industry, trade associations, academia, research institutes, and governments.

         The Programme Committee has included keynote speakers to present major review papers at the start of each session. Scientists and specialists are invited to present the results of their latest work. Speakers will be selected amongst the respondents for oral presentation. Poster sessions complementing the symposium sessions will be organized.
